1. Original Work. Typically diagrams or sketches.
2. Copyright Expired. “Life +70” or “publication +50” 18th, 19th, & early 20th century images.
3. Public Domain. Selected copyright-free images.
4. Fair Use. Small, low-resolution photographs of a factual figure or event.

Remember to cite the specific provision of the specific copyright legislation upon which you are relying. I will investigate and potentially remove it and replace it with a functionally identical image that does meet the criteria above.
